Hola! Thank you for visiting my blog. I am really blessed to be embarking on a new adventure. I will be spending next year living with and serving the children at Amigos de Jesús in Honduras. Amigos de Jesús is a home for about 70 abused and abandoned children. The mission of all who live and work at Amigos is to be "friends of Jesus" by helping these children to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually to achieve self-sustainability within their country of origin. To see pictures of this amazing place and to learn more about their mission, please visit http://www.amigosdejesus.org/.
I am so excited to be a part of the mission of Amigos as overseas service work has been a dream of mine since childhood. It's almost surreal for me that I have the opportunity to make this dream a reality. I would like to invite you to be a part of my journey next year through this blog and through the support options described below.
First and foremost, I would like to ask for your
support in your thoughts and prayers. I am also asking for
your
support as
I endeavor to
raise the necessary funds for my trip. If you
would
like to
support me in my
year with the children, you can
send
a check made payable to Amigos de Jesús
to 126 Woodland Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355. Please
write my name on the memo line or on an enclosed note to indicate that the
donation is to support my year of service. You can also visit their website and donate online http://www.amigosdejesus.org/index.php/how-to-help/make-a-donation using a credit card or Paypal account. Please
type my name in the “purpose” box to
note that your donation is going to support my trip.
I have set a fundraising goal of $3,000 to cover the majority of the expense incurred by Amigos for my year of service.
Please know that no donation is too small! Every penny of your donation
will go directly to
Amigos de Jesús to support my year of service. Thank you
for
whatever you are able to offer, and
please know that the children of Amigos de Jesús and I will keep you
in prayer. I will be posting updates throughout my service year on this blog. Adiós for now!
